Commissions Unit- Filming the Aricci Interview- Equipment

I've finally arrived in Lanchester, Durham. This is where I will be filming with the Aricci family, as previously mentioned their son decided not to take part for personal reasons but regardless I will be pressing on with his parents, Geri and Antony Aricci to hear what they have to say on the Autism subject.

When it came time to gear up for the interview I had to make some decisions before I made the car journey through to Durham. Firstly, I had to decide on what equipment I would find most beneficial to take with me. Before I left I decided that it made more sense to use the following pieces of equipment:

 A Sony EXCam

A Rode Microphone

A Tripod

The process of taking the equipment was actually less stressful than I thought it would be particularly as the Sony EXcam is somewhat clunky in design compared to the smaller more compact Canon 7D DSLR's. My main reason for picking this piece of equipment was because it produces a better quality of sound and the picture is very reliable. It is most likely the finest piece of camera kit you can get for the price.

I also decided I needed a Tripod to help balance the camera carefully, as well as a Rode Mike to help pick up my interviewee's voices clearly.
