Commissions Unit- Introduction & Initial Thoughts

We are now at the start of a new Unit for our course, and its interesting just seeing what to apply to this in terms of ideas and research. Here is the brief as was originally written on the Unit's guideline:

Conceive, develop, script, shoot and edit a 10 minute documentary which fits either:

Canterbury Cathedral

1. BBC3 –  ‘My Hero’ – stories of heroism–
Or

BBC3's current logo

2. Canterbury Cathedral – A film for their YouTube channel about the artists and artisans work to keep the beauty of the cathedral alive



For this project, I think I am going to go for the "My Hero" concept. My reasoning for this is that it honestly seems like something I will put more of my heart and soul into as the idea resonates with me more. I think it is something I will be more passionate about. This type of documentary also in my opinion lends itself to wider variation than the Canterbury Cathedral idea. I look forward to seeing what I can bring to the table.
