Commissions Unit- Change of Filming Plans (Anna Kennedy)

Unfortunately there has been a change in the development of our idea. Anna Kennedy has had to drop out because she is currently out of office until we are finished with filming (18th May) which means that Illianna and myself will now be pushing more to focus on our other contacts. I think it is a shame that we could not get the chance to film with her but we understand that these things happen. Nethertheless Illianna and I have some great contacts between us and remain positive that we have some great interviews for our Autism project.

The reply from Anna's secretary,  Lisa Robins.

Commissions Unit- Editing (Part 3)

I have now finished the Aricci interview editing which means it is time to stitch it together with Ilianna's as soon as she is done with hers. We will be quite constrained for time but I have confidence in both of our skills as a team to deliver the goods.

The main difference between the interviews is that Illianna has to translate hers as her interview is in Greek.

Commissions Unit- Autism Research

In the middle of the interview with  Antony and Geri, Antony mentioned a book called "Martian in the Playground" by Clare Sainsbury. I have since read up about the book and it looks like a great book for teaching people what it is like to live with an autistic child. It seems to be highly recommended by professionals working with autistic people.

"louise" on Amazon.co.uk gave it glowing review for example:

This seems like a very intriguing book particularly in how it can provide so much insight for a children and adults alike. This might be of further interest to those who want to read more about the struggles of autistic people or how to relate to their differences more clearly.
